I got bangs again!
I have been thinking about having them cut again for a few weeks now and got a super last minute appointment at Kaysalon two weeks ago before heading to Austria. Absolutely love the result, the cut is different than the ones I had before, therefore it looks more edgy and peppy I'd say. What do you think? It's going to take some time getting used to constantly having my hair in my face and I have to admit, I might need another styling lesson since bangs can be tricky when you naturally have curly hair, but I'll figure it out.
However, big thanks to Kaysalon for working their magic on my hair, absolutely love this hairdresser & thanks to my girl sarah for recommending them!

I always get super excited and inspired by new hair cuts. Somehow it makes me think I can achieve anything, try new things and just be a little different. It feels like a change in my whole environment that hopefully lasts long, as I need some creativity boost right now! xx

My beloved layering game has reached a new level: wearing two blouses over each other is definitely something new and can add some excitement to a simple look. It is also a great trick to stay warm without wearing thick layers when you're already in the mood for spring, just like I am.
Carmen blouses were all the rage last year and I think they'll stick around this spring/summer as well, since there are so many options to wear and pair them. I have always loved wearing shoulder-free clothes and this white blouse from IVY&OAK is especially gorgeous, because of the flared sleeves with slits that can be tied together. If only it wasn't raining at the moment, I'd be wearing this combination more often. Also, I cannot wait to wear these self-made pants again this summer -- it is so much fun to wear your own designs and I am finally getting the hang of making trousers, which I have always hated back in school. Next week we'll be shooting the latest Wolfschluckner looks and I literally can't wait! xx

A typical outfit of the day, wearing a coat that covers my entire outfit only for the sake of keeping me warm. Although the temperatures have gotten milder, it is still insanely cold in Berlin, which is why my everyday outfit calls for lots of layers (which you wouldn't spot in one of the pictures). Who would not want to stay in a bathrobe all winter long? I definitely would, which is why this coat is a cosy lifesaver that simultaneously looks chic. Not without reason, is it called the bathrobe coat, and especially in camel, the perfect robe to throw on for every occasion. I, however, find it extremely pleasant to wear this coat on a daily basis, preferably with another coat and my favorite cashmere jumper underneath, paired with some slacks and sneakers. I must admit wearing these Vagabond babies was not the best idea for the current weather situation, I usually go for Dr Martens in order to prevent myself from slipping on my way to work, but it ruins all the fun if you have to be preoccupied with that, right? Additionally, I bought some furry slippers which I unfortunately won't be wearing for the next few months. Once you see them, you'll understand my frustration and that spring needs to return ;-)

Happy Sunday! xx

Talking basics today. I have been trying to buy less clothes and choose well, which also means that the pieces I do buy, should be valuable and ideally fair produced. I thought it would be the best to start with basics, such as high-quality t-shirts. Much like finding the perfect pair of jeans, finding the perfect t-shirt can be challenging. The fabric has to be good and it should not be transparent. V-neck or round neckline, long sleeves or capped sleeves and of course the cut as well as the length need to fit, which in my case --  the longer and wider, the better. They don't have to be overly thick because in the winter I wear everything under all my layers, however they also have to keep me warm in spring/summer.

In my journey to find the perfect t-shirt, I stumbled across Funktionschnitt and got my hands on a simple black t-shirt made out of Tencel. I fell in love with it immediately due to the combination of softness and fit and it helps that Tencel was made in Austria. It is a cotton substitute that is softer, more durable and air-permeable by allowing any form of humidity to evaporate, thus preventing the build-up of sweat and bacteria.
The perfect t-shirt for daily wear!
